A vehicle has crashed with a Woolworths truck on a Christchurch motorway on Monday morning.

The roadworks vehicle, which appeared to be carrying orange road cones, was lifted off the ground on one side and seemingly propped up against the truck.

A police spokesperson confirmed they received a report of a two vehicle crash on the Christchurch Southern Motorway near the Curletts Rd on-ramp around 7.50am.

“There are no reported injuries.”

At 8.45am NZTA said the crash had been cleared but there was still congestion.
