4. User-Generated Content & Merchant Information

Infomate enables users and merchants to publish content, listings, and other information.

You acknowledge and agree that:

  • any personal information included in user-generated content is provided at your own discretion;

  • merchants are solely responsible for personal information they include in product or service listings;

  • Infomate does not routinely monitor, verify, or approve personal information included in user-generated content.

  • to communicate with users and merchants about platform-related matters;

  • to process applications, requests, and support enquiries;

  • to detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, misuse, or security incidents;

  • to comply with obligations under New Zealand law.

Infomate does not use personal information for unrelated purposes without lawful basis or consent.

6. Disclosure of Personal Information

We may disclose personal information:

  • to trusted service providers assisting with hosting, security, analytics, or communications;

  • where disclosure is required or authorised by law;

  • to enforce Infomate’s agreements or policies;

  • to investigate suspected fraud, abuse, or unlawful activity;

  • to protect the rights, property, or safety of Infomate, users, or the public.

Infomate does not sell, rent, or trade personal information.

7. Platform Role & Data Responsibility Allocation

Infomate acts as a platform intermediary.

Accordingly:

  • Infomate is not the data controller for personal information exchanged directly between merchants and customers;

Infomate takes reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against:

  • loss;

  • unauthorised access;

  • misuse;

  • alteration or disclosure.

However, no electronic system is completely secure. Infomate does not guarantee absolute security of personal information.
